Drive: Force a Copy

Google Drive users can provide a URL that will force others to make a copy of a Google Doc, Sheet, or Slide upon clicking on the link.

To force others to make a copy of your Google Doc, Sheet or Slide:

1. Open your Google Doc, Sheet or Slide.
2. Locate the URL link.
3. Delete the word edit in the URL.
   
4. Replace with the word "copy" in the URL.
   
5. This URL is one that you can share with others that will prompt other users to make a copy when clicked.
