Instead of typing in one email at a time for sensitive information, email pre-established contact groups privately. Blind carbon copies (bcc) prevent email receivers from seeing each others' emails.
- Build a contact group in Google Contacts. To create a new group, click the + sign next to Labels.
Add the contacts for this group. There are different ways to add contacts, such as individually by editing the single contact. Click Label + and select the group. Click Apply to save the changes.
To add contacts in bulk, select all the contacts by checking the box to the left of their name. Click the Label button, select the group to add them to, and click Apply to save the changes.
- Log into Gmail, and click Compose.
- Click on Bcc to add blind carbon copy recipients.
- In the box next to Bcc, type in the name of the Contact Group you want to email. The name should automatically pop up if you have already set up the group in your Contacts.
- Click the name of the Contact Group, and all the emails within the group will appear in the Bcc box.
- Type in your message.
- Click Send.
