How to use the Knowledge Base

This knowledge base tab is located at the top of this page. You can access the knowledge base by clicking on the tab. The knowledge base is divided into two main areas: Announcements and Help Center.  You may use the Search bar to search across both of these areas.

Schoology is a robust platform. You might be well-versed in some areas of Schoology, and have questions about areas you haven't yet encountered. We want to provide as much helpful information as possible, and thus, some forums may require a lot of reading and scrolling.  To better navigate the forums, we recommend the following tips:

  • Use either full questions or keywords when searching in the Search bar.
  • When using keywords, enter words you see on Schoology (e.g. Assignment, rather than Homework).
  • To search a string of words, place the words within quotation marks (e.g. "Add members," rather than Add members).
  • When inside a topic, consider using the Find feature to search for a keyword or phrase. On a PC, hold Ctrl and press the F key.  On a Mac, hold Command and press the F key.
