A MAXHUB Smart board is an interactive flat panel display that functions as a digital whiteboard allowing users to write, draw, and annotate directly on the screen using touch technology. Users can also share their laptop device's screen or application windows to the board.
Please see the end of this article on how to connect your Smart Board to Wifi if it disconnects.
Download the MAXHUB Share Application
First, you'll need to download the MAXHUB Share application to your device.
Go to https://www.maxhub.com/en/screen_share/ and locate these download options.
Download the application according to your device.
Mac users can screen share without downloading the MAXHUB Share application. Please see these steps at the end of this article.
Connect Your Device to the MaxHub Smart Board
After you download the MAXHUB Share application:
- Turn on your MAXHUB Smart board.
When the light is red, the Smart board is off. The light will turn to white when it is on.
Once your board is turned on, you will be brought to a home page like this:
- Connect to the MAXHUB Wifi on your laptop.
If you aren't sure which MAXHUB wifi to connect to, you can see your Smart board device number on the board itself. From the home page, swipe from right to left. It will bring you to this page, where there will be a number next to MAXHUB. Or, click the Screen Share button on the homepage to access this page.
- Open the MAXHUB Share application on your laptop. This window will open, where you will be prompted to enter a 6 digit PIN code. This code can be found at the top of your screen on the MAXHUB Smart board, or on the page shown above in step 2. A new code is regenerated each time you turn on your Smart board. Click connect.
- Select which screen or window you would like to share to the MAXHUB Smart board.
Alternative Screen Share Method for Mac Users
- Follow steps 1 and 2 above.
- Click on the Control Center that has the two toggle switches, in the top right corner of your laptop screen.
- Click on Screen Mirroring and then the Smart board device's name under Mirror or extend to.
- Select how you would like to share your screen.
Mirror options will display your laptop's screen as is to the Smart board.
Use As Extended Display will create the Smart board as an extension of your primary screen, or your laptop screen. This will show your desktop background only without your files and folders that are on your desktop.
