Set Up 2-Step Verification for Google

2-step verification is a good security measure for us at O'Dowd because it adds an extra layer of protection to your account, making it harder for unauthorized individuals to access your personal information, even if a password is compromised.

How 2-Step Verification works once it’s turned on

Follow these steps

1. Open your Google Account. You can access this by clicking the circle in the top right and then Manage your Google Account.
   
   
2. In the navigation panel, select Security.
3. Under “How you sign in to Google,” select 2-Step Verification.
4. Follow the on-screen prompts to set up a second verification step using your Phone Number.
   If you do not have a cell phone, please use the Backup codes option instead.
