Chat: Use Google Chat from Gmail

Google Chat already comes integrated with your Gmail account. Follow the directions below to use Chat directly from your Gmail account.

1. Navigate to mail.google.com.
2. Click on the Chat icon on the left-hand side of your screen.
   
3. Create a new chat by clicking the New Chat button, or click on an old conversation to continue messaging that person.
